Zutaten

  • 300 g beef steak (e.g. sirloin)
  • 2 piece sub rolls (long)
  • 1 piece onion
  • 1 piece green bell pepper
  • 100 g sliced melting cheese
  • 20 ml oil
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper

Zubereitung

  1. Put the beef steak in the freezer for 15 minutes to firm it up for slicing, then cut it into wafer-thin strips.
  2. Cut the onion and pepper into thin strips. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the vegetables until soft and lightly browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, sear the beef over high heat quickly and hard until browned. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Return the vegetables to the beef, toss together and lay the cheese slices on top until they melt.
  5. Split the rolls, toast them briefly and pile in the beef and cheese mixture generously. Serve at once.
