Zutaten

  • 250 g low-fat quark
  • 250 g flour
  • 2 pieces eggs
  • 80 g sugar
  • 1 sachet baking powder
  • 1 l vegetable oil for frying
  • 50 g sugar for the cinnamon coating
  • 1 pinch cinnamon

Zubereitung

  1. Beat the quark, eggs and sugar until smooth. Mix the flour with the baking powder, stir it in and work to a soft, sticky dough.
  2. Heat the oil in a deep pot to 170 °C. Using two teaspoons, scoop small portions of dough and slide them into the oil.
  3. Fry the balls in batches for 3 to 4 minutes until golden, turning once, then drain on kitchen paper.
  4. Mix the sugar and cinnamon and roll the still-warm balls in it until fully coated.
