Cinnamon Apple Porridge

Zutaten

  • 200 g rolled oats
  • 500 ml milk
  • 200 ml water
  • 2 piece apples
  • 5 g ground cinnamon
  • 40 g honey
  • 15 g butter
  • 30 g pecans
  • 1 pinch salt

Zubereitung

  1. Put the oats, milk, water, half of the cinnamon and a pinch of salt into a pot and bring to a boil.
  2. Simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally, for about eight minutes until the porridge is creamy.
  3. Meanwhile, dice the apples and caramelize them in a pan with the butter, the remaining cinnamon and half of the honey for a few minutes until golden.
  4. Spoon the porridge into bowls, top with the caramelized apples, chopped pecans and the remaining honey and serve warm.
