Ingredients

  • 250 g soft butter
  • 200 g sugar
  • 1 sachet vanilla sugar
  • 4 piece eggs
  • 300 g wheat flour
  • 1 sachet baking powder
  • 100 ml milk
  • 20 g cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven to 180 °C and grease a bundt tin generously with butter, then dust it with a little flour.
  2. Beat the soft butter with sugar, vanilla sugar and a pinch of salt until pale and fluffy, then beat in the eggs one at a time.
  3. Combine flour and baking powder and fold into the batter alternately with the milk until smooth.
  4. Pour two thirds of the batter into the tin. Stir the cocoa and a splash of milk into the rest and spoon it on as a dark layer.

  6. Bake on the middle rack for 50 minutes until a skewer comes out clean.
  7. Let the cake rest in the tin for 15 minutes, then turn out and cool completely.
