Eisschokolade (iced chocolate with ice cream)
A German classic found beside the Eiskaffee at every ice cream parlour in the country: cold cocoa instead of coffee, and otherwise everything just as it is with its big brother. Cocoa mixed from scratch with cocoa powder, sugar and milk tastes more robust and less sweet than any ready-made drink, the vanilla ice cream makes it velvety, and the cap of cream with chocolate shavings crowns the glass. Serves 4.

Zubereitung
- 1
Mix the cocoa powder with the sugar in a jug, so that no lumps form later on.
- 2
Heat about 100 ml of the milk and stir it into the cocoa powder little by little until you have a smooth, dark paste.
- 3
Stir in the remaining cold milk and put the cocoa into the fridge, covered.
- 4
Whip the cream with the vanilla sugar until stiff and chill it.
- 5
Divide the vanilla ice cream between four tall glasses in scoops and pour the cold cocoa in over the back of a spoon.
- 6
Set the whipped cream on top as a cap, sprinkle over the chocolate shavings and serve immediately with a straw and a spoon.
