Preheat the oven to 180 C. Remove the cores from the apples with a corer to create a hollow, without piercing through the base.

Crumble the marzipan with your hands and mix with most of the almonds, the raisins and cinnamon. Fill the apples with the mixture.

Place the apples in a baking dish, top each with a knob of butter and drizzle with honey. Scatter the remaining almonds over them.

Bake in the oven until the apples are soft and the skins begin to split. Serve warm, with vanilla sauce alongside.
