Preheat the oven to 175 C and line a square tin with baking paper. Melt the chocolate and butter over a water bath and let it cool slightly.

Beat the eggs with the sugar and salt for several minutes until pale and foamy. Stir in the lukewarm chocolate mixture.

Sift the flour and cocoa over the top and fold in just briefly. Fold through the roughly chopped walnuts and spread the batter into the tin.

Bake until the surface is matte and cracked but the centre stays soft. Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
