Knead the flour, water, oil and a pinch of salt into a smooth, supple dough. Coat it in oil, cover and let it rest.

Peel, core and thinly slice the apples. Mix with sugar, cinnamon and raisins. Toast the breadcrumbs in a little butter until golden.

Stretch the dough wafer-thin on a floured cloth, brush with melted butter and scatter the crumbs over it. Place the apple filling along one third.

Roll up the strudel using the cloth, place it on a tray, brush with butter and bake at 190 C until golden. Serve dusted with powdered sugar.
