Frozen pizza baguette in the airfryer
A German after-work snack that lies in freezers all over the country: two pizza baguettes go into the basket without defrosting and without oil and are ready in a good ten minutes. The cheese bubbles, the edges turn crisp and the crumb underneath stays soft. The basket is hot in three minutes, while a large oven takes far too long to preheat for two baguettes — on the other hand, only two really fit in side by side.

Instructions
- 1
Preheat the airfryer to 180 °C. Without preheating the base turns soft instead of crisp.
- 2
Take the frozen pizza baguettes out of their packaging without defrosting them. No oil is needed, the topping brings enough fat with it, and defrosted the base would only go soggy.
- 3
Lay the two baguettes lengthways side by side in a single layer in the basket with space between them and do not stack anything; larger quantities are cooked in two batches. Cook at 180 °C until the cheese bubbles and the topping is piping hot at 70 °C right through.
- 4
They are not turned, because the topping would fall into the basket and burn on the heating element. Instead, look at the edges at the end: if they are still pale, the baguettes go back into the basket for two minutes.
- 5
Sprinkle the finished baguettes with the dried oregano and pepper to taste and cut them into pieces at an angle.
