Tuna steak from the airfryer
A German fish dish that comes to the table all over Germany: tuna steaks with sesame, thyme and lemon that are done in a few minutes. Cooked right through, the tuna stays firm and juicy as long as it spends not a minute too long in the hot air. In the basket the fish needs no pan, no hot oil spits and the kitchen smells less of frying; on the other hand the steak gets none of the dark bars of a griddle.

Instructions
- 1
Rinse the tuna steaks in cold water and pat them thoroughly dry all over.
- 2
Stir the olive oil together with the salt, the pepper and the dried thyme and rub the steaks all over with it.
- 3
Scatter the sesame seeds over both sides of the steaks and press them on lightly so they do not blow away in the hot air.
- 4
Preheat the airfryer to 190 °C.
- 5
Lay the steaks in the basket side by side in a single layer with space between them and do not stack anything; cook larger quantities in two batches. Cook at 190 °C.
- 6
Turn the steaks over and finish cooking them at 190 °C until they have reached 62 to 65 °C in the centre and the flesh is pale and firm right through to the middle.
- 7
Cut the lemon into wedges and serve the steaks with it at once on warmed plates.
