Ingredients

  • 2 can black beans (400 g each)
  • 1 piece onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 80 g breadcrumbs
  • 40 g fine oats
  • 10 g smoked paprika
  • 20 g tomato paste
  • 20 ml oil
  • 4 piece burger buns

Instructions

  1. Drain and rinse the beans and let them dry really well. Mash two thirds with a fork and leave the rest whole to give the patty texture.
  2. Finely dice the onion and garlic and soften in a little oil. Knead together with the beans, breadcrumbs, oats, smoked paprika and tomato paste, then let the mix rest for 10 minutes to firm up.
  3. Shape the mixture into four firm patties. Fry in the remaining oil over medium heat for 4 to 5 minutes per side until a crisp crust forms.
  4. Toast the buns briefly, build the burgers with lettuce, tomato and a sauce of your choice and serve at once.
